In a recent survey, Gabriel Consulting Group got responses from 450 enterprise customers with opinions on Oracle (NSDQ:ORCL)¬ís decision to drop development of its software for the Intel (NSDQ:INTC) Itanium processor platform, and by extension Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ)’s HP-UX Unix platform. Respondents, according to CRN, see the decision as part of an ambitious agenda to put its server competitors at a disadvantage and give its own server line the advantage.

I’ve seen some customers say that changes in Oracle’s pricing per processor is aimed at putting their servers at an advantage, or others’ servers at a disadvantage.¬í”
